COA Accredited – The Council for Accreditations for Children and Family Services, or COA, is an international-level human service-accrediting organization dedicated to defining and implementing "best-practice" standards. In 2002, the staff of the Boys Home of the South aggressively pursued accreditation by the COA. We were pleased when we were informed of this accreditation early in 2003.

DSS Accredited – The Boys Home of the South also undergoes annual re-licensure inspections by the South Carolina Department of Social Services which include inspections by the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control and the Greenville Fire Marshall.
