We are currently hiring for 2 positions.

 

3rd Shift Awake Staff/Security

Job summary

The 3rd Shift Awake Staff’s primary responsibility is the overnight care of residents and campus safety.  Communication to Cottage Supervisor and/or Weekend Lead Staff, accurate and timely documentation, and the ability to function within a team environment are also essential. 

 

Full and Part Time House Parent- All shifts available

Job summary

Responsible for the day-to-day care of residents including but not limited to: group living, education, health, and mental health.  The House Parent’s primary focus shall be on safety and well being of residents.  Communication to Human Service Professionals (HSPs), accurate and timely documentation, and the ability to function within a team environment are also essential. 

 

Minimum requirements for both positions

  • Minimum 21 years of age.

  • High School Diploma or GED required; 2 years of college or Associates Degree preferred.

  • Must be able to successfully complete the following screenings:  Pre-employment drug screen and physical examination; SC DSS Central Registry; SC Criminal Background; SC Sex Offender Registry; and the SC Department of Motor Vehicles. 

  • Obtaining initial certifications in CARE, TCI, Red Cross CPR and Red Cross First Aid and maintaining annual re-certifications in TCI and CPR and 3 year re-certifications in First Aid.

Physical Demands for both positions

  • Must be able to do significant walking and actively supervise cottage recreation.

  • Able to perform routine maintenance, cleaning, etc.

  • Apply the Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) physical restraint techniques for residents who are in crisis.

  • Apply the American Red Cross CPR and First Aid techniques for residents.
